Occupational & Environmental Health (OEHN)

The Occupational & Environmental Health Nursing (OEHN) program is a specialty within the Advanced Practice Community Health Systems Nursing (APCHSN) program.

It is also one of four occupational health and safety programs offered through the Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine. The Northwest Center is one of 16 Education and Research Centers in the U.S. funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Features

• Graduate-Level Nursing Education
  We train nurses for advanced professional practice and scholarly research. Graduates go on to careers that serve to address regional, national, and global occupational and environmental concerns.
• Collaborative Learning Experiences
  Students learn and complete the program in interdisciplinary settings with other students in occupational medicine, industrial hygiene, toxicology, biostatistics, and epidemiology.
• Internationally-Recognized Faculty
  Program faculty are experts in a variety of areas of occupational and environmental health. Their research spans an array of topics, hazards, and populations.
