While completing one of our graduate programs, there are several costs you should keep in mind:
- tuition:
- one-time student health fee
- clinical course fees (when consumables are used)
- room and board
- books and supplies
- transportation
- personal expenses
Estimates on the average
graduate student budget as well as the University of Washington's
policy on residency will help you
determine if you require financial assistance.
The university offers a number of graduate service appointments (e.g. Teaching Assistantships,
Research Assistantships, Fellowships, Traineeships). If appointed,
you will work with faculty on active research grants and other educational activities. In exchange,
you receive full tuition waivers as well as health insurance coverage for you and your dependents.
These positions are posted to graduate student email lists when they become available.
Some financial aid is available to eligible students through the University
of Washington and School of Nursing. You must apply by completing the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA). The
priority deadline for submitting the FAFSA is February 28.
The University of Washington's policy
on residency will help you determine if you require financial assistance.
